Mike Lewis was born in Japan and raised in Canada. His father is a Canadian diplomat while his mother is half Indonesian-half Chinese. When he was still in high school his father was stationed at Canada embassy in Jakarta. Because he still has a family from the mother-side in Indonesia, he often visits Jakarta and mostly stays in his uncle’s.
He loves traveling and tastes different kind of foods around Indonesia. When he spent holiday in Indonesia in 2001 he was found by Adimodel agency and was offered for some photo shoots. Since then he received lots of photo shoots and fashion shows offers.
Besides working for some Indonesian agencies, he also works for international agency, Specs Agency in Canada and in addition as the staff of Canada Embassy in Indonesia.
In 2003 he played his first film “5 Sehat, 4 Sempurna”. He became The Sexiest Cosmo Man according to Cosmopolitan Magazine for 2 years in a row, 2004 and 2005. During 2005 to 2006 he went to and fro Montreal-Jakarta for modeling jobs. In 2007 he played his second movie “Suster Ngesot” which became the box office nationwide and placed him as the nominee for Most Favorite Actor at MTV Indonesia Movie Awards 2007.
